Skating is hard work! Hayley takes a break from the festivities.

'Round and 'Round We Go!

by Sue McCracken

11-13-08

What goes 'round and 'round and never falls down?  Very few people at the Lincoln Skating Party!!  On Tuesday night (purposely scheduled on a night before a late start for those needing to recover!) Lincoln families gathered for a night of roller skating at the Sunset Roller Rink.  How many people fell down?  Many of the128 who skated!  With 75 Lincoln students in attendance, plus 53 siblings and parents skating, the rink was full of the sounds of wheels spinning and bodies thudding.  I'm happy to report that other than a few bruises everyone survived the event and were still talking Wednesday about the fun they had.

The Lincoln Skating party was a family affair . . . Dad is there to make sure Logan makes it around the corner of the rink.

A special thanks to to the Lincoln Links parent group for paying the way for each student plus one adult to skate, and to all our parents who braved the years since they'd been on skates to give it a spin.  Also thanks to parent Wendy McKune for taking the photos and staff members who came to share the fun with their students.  It was a special time for our Lincoln School community to share a couple of hours of school spirit, moonlight skating, and, of course, the Limbo!
