October 2008 Students of the Month

During the month of October, the following students were chosen as the FMS "Students of the Month". These awards are sponsored by the Fairfield Elks Lodge and are to acknowledge positive contributions of FMS students at school.
Kotie Webber is a bubbly, hard-working 6thgrade student who strives to do her best at all times. She is quick to add to a classroom discussion, and thoughtful around others. Her maturity and dependability are a breath of fresh air in our sixth grade wing. Congratulations to a very deserving student!!!
Tanner Deao is a very deserving Student of the Month because of his dependability, honesty, and hard-working attitude. He is a 6thgrade student that can be counted on for volunteering, adding to class discussions, and having his work done on time. He is well-liked and respected by his peers. Congratulations, Tanner!!!
Alexis Rowland: The 7th grade teachers have been very impressed with the work Allie Rowland has done this year. She always strives to do her best. Her work reveals attention to detail, curiosity, and a desire to do well. Allie has a wonderful work ethic and always gives her full attention and effort to every task she completes. She does not hesitate to ask questions and always makes sure she fully understands the topic and what she needs to do to be successful. She is always positive, respectful to everyone, and works very well with other students. Allie has done a tremendous job so far this year.
Vincent Horras is a role model for his 7thgrade peers and a valuable addition to every class. In group situations, he works well with any student, treating them with respect while reinforcing good work ethic. He is a leader in discussion, offering thoughtful opinions while processing and building upon the opinions of others. Vincent has a pleasant, positive attitude that helps the classroom learning environment and motivates other students as well.
Maria Jimenez: Always smiling. Hard worker. Kind. Friendly. Eager. Co-operative. These are just some of the adjectives used to describe 8thgrade October student of the month, Maria Jimenez. As a relative newcomer to our school and America, Maria has worked hard to learn English and now excels in her studies. Always willing to go the extra mile, Maria often volunteers to stay after school to get questions answered or assistance on an assignment. Maria is also an easy person to work with in group projects and always contributes more than required. We are pleased to give the October award to Maria. Keep up the good work!
Wyatt Andersen has been selected and is very deserving of the 8thgrade student of the month. Wyatt is a reliable and responsible student who works hard and is diligent about getting his work done on time. He can be counted on to help other students and is well-liked by his peers. Wyatt also devotes his time to extra-curricular activities and takes pride in his school. Great job, Wyatt!
