Libertyville Elementary:

Creating minds that think and hearts that care!

by Sue McCracken

Welcome to Libertyville Elementary School! Located in the town of Libertyville, Iowa, approximately seven miles southwest of Fairfield, Libertyville School was originally a K-12 school before consolidating with the Fairfield District and becoming an elementary school.  The gymnasium is part of the original school, and the old scoreboard still hangs from the ceiling in the southeast corner and is now a conversation piece during lunches.

Libertyville School is a single section, K-12 school with a mix of veteran and young teachers.  A family atmosphere is nurtured with school families which meet for occasional lunches and family gatherings to explore the six pillars of character (respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, fairness, caring, and citizenship).

Please feel free to call and make arrangements to visit the school (641-693-3971). Our motto says it all:  Libertyville School:  creating minds that think and hearts that care.
